Before the closing of the season and the restart in September I am pleased to present 3 digital releases which are published together today June 13th. During the lockdown I received a lot of demos and I wanted to give voice to new names that I hope you will remember in the future. All of these works are involved in some way with the Coronavirus days.
Sascha Rosemarie Höfer is the first name and comes from Germany. In the last months he found an archive with an old project recorded in 2012 and during the isolation he edited and completed the work.

The album contains music for the first ["Prolog der Wahrnehmung"] and second part ["Hinter dem ersten Grund"] of the experimental short film dilogy »Bar-Do« that was filmed in 2010/2011.
Both of the films were part of the ephemeral art project »Bar-Do - Im Zwischenstand der Dinge« which was perfomed live in 2012 at the Lichtmess-Kino Altona in Hamburg, Germany.
Sascha renewed the editing of the music score a few month ago.

About the album he said:

"Bar-Do - Im Zwischnstand der Dinge“ was a no-budget production that I had developed with my old friend Christian Häusler. We recruited friends and helpful people who built a foundation of affability which made it possible and let us finally perform a play in 4 acts in the theatre mentioned above. The whole project was a piece of handicraft which took a lot of time, but also made a lot of fun and united people from different areas to support each other and our vision.
The film project is based on my poem „Alle Jahre wieder“ which I had written for a literature evening in 2010. But it got too long in the end, so I couldn’t perform it in the time that was given which started the idea to make something other out of it.
"Bar-Do" derives from the Tibetan and means something like stuck in between two conditions of overlapping reality conceptions. When we are suddenly sliding from a safe situation into uncertainty e. g. there is always a gap – as it is in between two consecutive thoughts. But we don’t recognise it, and therefore we don’t use the gift that lies in it. Instead, we are afraid of it. And this is the reason why we’re rashly searching the next step to safety again at all costs. But this gap is a possibility for insight if we don’t panic, stay calm and let the moment happen. But the fear around us that spreads it wings inside ourselves ist mostly dominant. And this fear ist none which was necessary in former times to be aware of the tigers and lions that tried to harm us and put us into flight or fight mode. It is a constructed fear that keeps us in our cages. And so I think it fits into times like these with all the anxiety and uncertainty around us due to the pandemic turmoil. To catch a clear thought for what’ s really happening seams like fishing in muddy waters.
And it is hard to stay in a „higher frequency“ in which, it is said, we can’t be harmed. But to reach such a condition we have to use this gap, to clear our minds, to see what surrounds us and defines us as people and the person that we are. Love ist the answer I might say. But we often don’t understand what love is and compare it with images in films and songs that mostly derive from a possessive emotion that was belied. We are emotional beings. But we have never learned how to deal with these emotions properly. Not in schools, universities, families or in our everyday work. But we need them especially there. And if we are not willing to learn the language of emotion and call it a necessity we will never get out of this cage we are in I suppose. And it is quite the hardest thing to bestow love on somebody without the wish to get something back in exchange for it in the absence of a religious proclaim."
